elixir Posted February 17, 2005 Share Posted February 17, 2005 I want to have people add items to a CD.. basically.. lets say you have a card you want to give someone.. but you want to make it unique before you buy your custom made card. ( a real product.. not digital ) .. so I want people to be able to go through the store and add items to their package which at the end will then be burnt onto a cd and shipped to them. is their any mod out there that sounds similar? If you set a weight to each item you want to work with equal to the size in megs of that file, then tinker with the shipping so that nothing over '700 pounds (megs)' is allowed to be shipped, that might be a nice way to easily handle it. Of course, that would limit you to creating one CD at a time, but it'd be a start. If you want to be more advance you could really modify the shipping so that it arranged things onto multiple CD's according to the weight, but now you're talking a pretty intensive alteration, and I don't think I've seen anything quite like that with the contribs. I think the OSC would be perfect to use for this project.. but it needs this mod to work.. :) so .. that being said.. anyone feel like being a super hero!
