scotymax
I tried to run a search for this topic since i figured it would be common discussion but didn't come up with much. Does anyone know of any resources (tutorials, guides, etc) that may give me a jump start on creating my own theme for osCommerce? Any Google searches just point me to people selling templets. I've made skins for other php based content management systems, but I know each one is it's own animal. Oh, and side note... can i simply rename admin/index.php to something else so that it isn't accessable to anyone on the net? or any other way to secure it? kalric
OK...for the absolute TOTAL newbie. :-" Is there a utility that is step-by-step for modifying themes, changing the text or is it all modifying the PHP by hand? I'm not a programmer by ANY stretch of the imagination, so it's all greek to me. I have managed (through the admin site) to change the payment options, add products and get everything setup, however it's still the default theme. I would really appreciate any guidance with this. Would even be willing to pay someone if they had an idiots guide to modifying themes. Thanks! Shayne
