extrememc
I like the look that this shopping cart has, but it is not user friendly to configure. I am just wanting something simple. Reading the knowledge base is somewhat confusing as well. Could someone please help me with my simple shopping cart? Thank you.
Simplyeasier
I like the look that this shopping cart has, but it is not user friendly to configure. I am just wanting something simple. Reading the knowledge base is somewhat confusing as well. Could someone please help me with my simple shopping cart? Thank you. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> if you have cash - 1) Buy templates and fully working store :D just browse the web for osc templates - I have seen OK ones for $100 - $200 2) pay someone to do the job as per your own unique spec If you have no cash 1) As you want something simple - d/load osc take the time to read the kb and the forums and make the changes yourself. - the confusion will start to lessen (it never disappears :D ) as you get stuck in Charles A kite flies highest AGAINST the wind ! "Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, a lover in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming ~ WOO HOO!! What a ride!"
extrememc
Here is my dilemma. I didn't mind a challenge at all. The one thing I have tried to do is download the knowledge base so I can read on the go. There is no way that I have found to do such. I want to successfully install php and my sql so that I can work it from the desktop to get a better feel of this cart. The cart I want to design only need to sale product nothing fancy. Change the heard, footer, lt rt side and add some info that is all I am trying to accomplish.
bobg7
Download and install EasyPHP to you PC, (Install Guide) Download and install osCommerce to the www folder of EasyPHP and start working on it. Within a few days of working with it, making changes, making errors and fixing them, searching the forums and contributions for answers and add on's and reading the KB I'm sure you'll be comfortable with osCommerce and be ready to put it out for the world to see. Please remember that with osCommerce you do need at least a basic knowledge of things like HTML, internet terms, how to edit files, FTP and the ability to follow instructions. If you have these and ask questions osCommerce is actually very easy to work with. Installed Contributions: CCGV, Close Popup, Dynamic Meta Tags, Easy Populate, Froogle Data Feeder, Google Position, Infobox Header Entire Row, Live Support for OSC, PayPal Seal with CC images, Report_m Sales, Shop by Price Revised, SQL Updater, Who's Online Enhancement, Footer, GNA EP Assistant and still going.
