knichel
I downloaded and installed oscommerce as a test drive with all the defaults. Everything worked fine. Then I decided that I wanted to change the path to the store so I would not have to use http://mysite.com/store/catalog but could use http://mysite.com/store instead. So I deleted the installation and the database (jsut to be sure) and started over. I un-tar'd the tarball outside of my web root and copied the catalog directory to the web root and renamed it store. I went through the installation process but when I get finished and go to the store page, none of the images are showing up. I just discovered that the images work fine when using http:// but not https://. Any suggestions? -- TIA, Mike
ozcsys
For Https: to work you need to have a ssl certificate installed. The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??
knichel
Everything worked when I installed in /store/catalog, but when I tried to install in just /store, that is when the images stopped showing up. It has nothing to do with an ssl cert. Remember, is *was* working fine even using https... For Https: to work you need to have a ssl certificate installed. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
