Guest
could be your host has things all messed up, so try 444. if it were me and the permissions didnt work right at 644, i would be packing my bags and moving onto another host
mr_biggles
I am getting an error to set my permissions on the configure.php file. Error msg : Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /home/alan/public_html/oscommerce/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file. i change the permissions in the chmod with my ftp program but no matter what i set it to i get the same msg ! anyone else had this problem? is it the host ? and how could they fix & or effect it? i know i can get rid of it by just telling the program not to check it but this doesnt fix the problem. Any ideas ? Anyone out there ? Sry, didnt see the above reply. DOH. But i still wonder how they can effect the permissions I set on the file ? Guest
ask the host to set it for you, or try your host cpanel/vdeck if you have one to set the properties to
