Integrate osC with menalto's gallery v1.4

I am interested in integrating osC with gallery v 1.4. I am new to osCommerce and think it would be a great solution for what I want to do.

 

I would like to add osC to gallery so I could sell photo prints. I need the gallery to be the front end. I'd like to be able to select photos from the gallery and have them end up in the osC cart. I have seen an example of something similar I'd like to do at http://www.myphotoalbum.com . The cart integration is at the following.

2. osC end of things: http://store.myphotoalbum.com/shopping_car...ion=add_product

 

Would the two have to share a DB? How would I post data from the gallery page to the osC cart? Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
