optic Posted February 15, 2005 Share Posted February 15, 2005 I need to move/copy my current installation of OSC, which is heavily modified, over to another server, and also to a different domain name. I tried the back up option then restoring it on the new site/server for OSC and SQL, but it just keeps linking back to the original web site. I've changed all instances of the original web site in the config files, but still. I don't know if it's the db that's linking it back, but I'm having a hard time with this. I don't want to do a fresh install of OSC on the new server, cause for me to modify OSC again, is not worth the effort. Plus I have about 800 customers in the DB for OSC that I need to transfer, as well as about 3000+ items. Any help would be appreciated. - O. ozcsys Posted February 15, 2005 Share Posted February 15, 2005 The only files you should need to edit are your two configure.php files. If you have changed them and are still having problems make sure you do not have a local folder with a configure.php file in your includes folders. The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution?
