Shipping using Table Rate

Recommended Posts

We are having issues with using the table rate based on price. Do we need to have a weight for each product, in order for the 'price' based table rate to work?

I have a very competent coder who says this is needed, but I want to confirm.

Hey there... I had the same issues with the RATE TABLE. I found using the ZONE TABLE works much the same way, but only with the product weight! MUCH MUCH better. Please you can set the ZONES (Country) you want.

I am new to the OSC forum myslef, but the RATE TABLE seemed to work for ME, only based on total PRICE.

25:8.25,50:13.25 and so on...

the weight, NOT SO MUCH. But the ZONE TABE seemed to work for me... I sell CD's...

each CD is .2 lbs (3.2oz) so I figured to ship based on that....

.2:2.25,.4:3.85 and so on

1 CD .2 lbs = $2.25

2 CD .4 " = $3.85 and so on

So YES... each product has to have a weight... if you are using weight base shipping.. and I found for ME... that ZONE table works... but for a PRICE break to your customer you may want to use the RATE TABLE
