Guest
You chmod'd the images directory? Did the permissions stick ? - sometimes they don't
extrememc
What is chmod? I have been hearing about this but haven't found any good info in it.
Guest
chmod is basically a unix command that tells a file or folder how much permission to grant... Read Write Execute Permission by user, group and everyone Normally you can do it through an ftp client by right-clicking and under properties If you have a control panel, you might be able to do it there also
extrememc
I used filezilla and right click on the folder and then set the permission to 777 and then read, write, excute persmission to owner.
Guest
Go back to the folder and see if it still says 777 I've seen in some cases, where it didn't stick
extrememc
Yes it did stick. Another question that has been raised is. When I set the permission to 777 to a directory. Does that allow me to write to any folder in the directory?
