John <{POST_SNAPBACK}> John, FTPing on XP is the same as any other OS version. You need your host name, user name, password, and port #(usually 21). There are plenty of free FTP programs out there. I'ld suggest using filezilla. You can download it here: http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/ Just plug in the fields: host/usrnam/pswrd/port You can just drag and drop the files from the left side of the screen(local machine) to the right(remote/host machine). This will make sense once you have the program and can see the interface.
Wendy James
To get to ftp using XP you just type in ftp://whtevertheurlistoyourftpspace where you would normally type in an http url a log in window should pop up, enter your user name and password and you should be good to go a note though, not all servers will work with XP as an ftp so if you have a problem you can grab any number of freebies off the web Wendy James Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.
