Pink Posted February 14, 2005 Share Posted February 14, 2005 I am running an Appache server on a local Windows machine and I have not been able to figure out how to fix the problem connected with the message at the top of my pages: Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: C:/apachefriends/xampp/htdocs/xampp/catalog/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file. Instructions in osCommerce Knowledge Base http://www.oscommerce.info/kb/osCommerce/Common_Problems/20 state that For Windows based servers, file permissions can be set via the File Properties dialog window. Pink <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Go to your htdocs/xampp/catalog/includes/configure.php and also to htdocs/xampp/catalog/admin/includes/configure.php and right mouse click on both the configure files and view propertys tick the tittle tick box where is says read only in both these files. :D ( WARNING ) I think I know what Im talking about.
