Tell a friend problem

I have just been testing the tell a friend facilty and there seems to be a problem. It says that only the "to" name and address are required, but when I submit it leaving the "from" fields blank it tells me that they are required as well.

 

I've not done any editing on this - it's how it came 'out-of-the-box' so to speak.
