n8pbm
OK i have searched the forums and I find problems simular but not exactly what I have. The installation of OSCommerce is done through my host with a script. Everything works fine except when the program tries o send email (Registration, notifications...). I am sure it is a email onfiguration but I can not find it. The error I get is: Warning: mail(): SMTP server response: 501 Syntax error in parameters or arguments in C:\Accounts\funtimec\wwwRoot\catalog\admin\includes\classes\email.php on line 500 Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at C:\Accounts\funtimec\wwwRoot\catalog\admin\includes\classes\email.php:500) in C:\Accounts\funtimec\wwwRoot\catalog\admin\includes\functions\general.php on line 18 My email in the my store: E-Mail Address [email protected] E-Mail From [email protected] e-mail options: E-Mail Transport Method smtp E-Mail Linefeeds CRLF Use MIME HTML When Sending Emails false Verify E-Mail Addresses Through DNS false Send E-Mails true This is a windows host. Any help to get this working? Thanks

antioch
nearly identical problem... Warning: mail(): SMTP server response: 501 Syntax error in parameters or arguments in xxx\includes\classes\email.php on line 500 Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at xxx\includes\classes\email.php:500) in xxx\includes\functions\general.php on line 29 could this problem be caused by an SMTP sever requiring authentication?
