Guest
Ive just recently installed the oscommerce shopping cart on to my server and ive had a look around the admin but it seems to be only letting you change things within the current set up. Whats the best way for me to completly change the look of the cart so that it fits into the design i have ? I use dreamweaver for all my site but im just wondering what pages do i have to start changing? im a bit confused as im really new to shopping carts cheers
Gtechosting
I think you should look in the contirib section of this site, it has templates etc you may find one to your liking. All the colour of the site is controlled by the stylsheet.css if you want to do your own im guessing thats the place to start.

vinces
It's no big deal, you just need to learn some PHP and start using BTS, which is way more powerful than STS. David Amherst

In the end I think it's best to do your own thing from stock osc and not use templates - but then there is a contrary view.... Daemonj
A third option is to wait for MS3, which I believe will have a template system unless that has gotten pushed to MS4. This is the #1 Question... When MS3 comes out, will there be a guide/instructions on upgrading existing MS2 to MS3, or will we have to start from default MS3 and put everything back? Guest
You will have to start from default MS3 and install your contributions as they become ported to work with MS3. I anticipate that directly after MS3 release there will be a significant void in the number of contributions available. This will most likely persist for a few months and then slowly start to get some existing contributions ported over to work with MS3 and maybe a few new ones. The fact remains that once MS3 comes out you'll have to stick with default code for at least a few months. Bobby
