♥ozcsys
hi Whish one is better Linus or windows for oscommerce and what is the difference. :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Stay away from windows!! If you value your sanity you will not host your store on a windows server. The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right?? SuperSix
Thank you all for your responce <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why is it such an evil platform? The company I'm doing thisfor is hosted in a Win2K server, and has the correct versions of PHP and MySQL installed. I am currently testing it on my server, a 1and1 Linux server. In other words, what MS-specific issues will I run into? Thanks, Mark S.

ArtRat
Why is it such an evil platform? In other words, what MS-specific issues will I run into? Thanks, Mark S. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> MS is the number one platform of choice for virus code writers to attack. If you use it just make sure you are totally up to date in your efforts to block evil code. virus protectors, firewalls, latest patches, most recent stable everything, get 'em, use 'em and update 'em always. I run on a linux/apache server but my web logs are plagued with ms attack attempts. yes there are faults with all software, all have loopholes, MS is just the majority out there so it seems correct for a virus to attack the platform that will do the most damage to the world.
