ToolmanTed Posted February 11, 2005 Share Posted February 11, 2005 Please pardon me if this is a dumb question, but this is my first osCommerce installation and I'm a bit confused. I uploaded and installed osCommerce in a subdirectory, all went well. I went to Admin (shouldn't I have to login?) and added a store item. Then I went to the storefront, created an account, and purchased the item using my PayPal debit card. The purchase went through even though I hadn't set any pament gateways or anything yet. At PayPal, my card was not charged. I didn't see any signs that I was in demo mode or anything like that. From a customers perspective, they would have successfully made a purchase. So, what happened here? Does osCommerce install in Demo mode by default, and I have to undemomode it? How doe's this work. I tried to find answers before posting but couldn't find anything.
