Banners uploaded through osCommerce

I was just rooting around doing some house cleaning and I noticed that the banner I just uploaded went into the root of the images folder and not into the banner folder that is inside the images folder. There is a dir for banners in images folder but the banner goes to the root of the images folder, why? The original osCommerce banner is actually in both, again I ask why? :'(

Thanks for taking the time to answer if you do

Which directory were you actually in at the time that you initiated the upload? If you were in the images directory then that's where it would have uploaded to.

There are two different oscommerce.gif files - one is the logo the other is the default banner that appears at the bottom of the page.

Uhh, so the banner directory is for the banner at the bottom of the page, right? and banners at the top of a page will be in the images folder, right?

Can I also then put another banner at the bottom of osCommerce that is the same or different to the new one at the top?

To answer your Q, I was uploading the banner from banner manager in the Admin of osCommerce.

Is "Logo" the word used to describe the company image at the top of a website page? While "Banner" is the company image shown at the bottom of a website page?

Just trying to get some terms straight in my head Vger.

Thanks again for answering my destress call. Back to yellow allert
