imac
Everything was working fine then yesterday when I tried adding products, the whole local image filepath gets uploaded instead of just the image name. I get the green image upload success message but no image is uploaded and - of course - the IMAGE DOES NOT EXIST message. I have exactly the same files and database running on a local server with absolutely no problem. The only changes I know of on the remote (Fasthosts) are that they just upgraded to php 4.3.11-dev and I password protected the admin directory. I've tried uploading a non-protected admin directory fresh from the original zip but it makes no difference. It may be something obvious but I just can't crack it. Any ideas anyone? :'(
♥Vger
The obvious problem is that you are hosted with Fasthosts. Sorry - but there's nothing that anybody here can do to help you on that one! Vger
imac
Wow, you're on the ball. I suspected Fasthosts might be part of it. They're turning out to be a real nightmare >_< I'm doing the job for someone else and had no choice. Extra reason why I'd like to understand what's causing it so I can bat back their bull----. Do you know of a better alternative?
imac
Fasthosts have just informed me that php 4.3.11-dev includes a change which means that Internet Explorer will now pass the whole of the upload string to the script. They recommend I parse out the final part of the string in order to retrieve the filename. Are there any more experienced osCommerce hands who could point me in the direction of the best way of doing that?
