Sowdy
Hi, I'm stuck on the install process. Probably something really simple but I just can't seem to find it anywhere. 4. Create a directory called catalog/temp, (see below if your catalog isn't in a 'catalog' directory) and that it's permissions are set to allow writes to that directory, that would be 777 or rwxrwxrwx (in shell access - while you're in the catalog directory, execute "chmod 777 temp"). Where would I find 'catalog/temp'????? Thanks. Dave.

justmake
I have ftp'd into the site......i have added a folder called 'catalog' in the directory that my installation of oscommerce is in. You dont need to create a folder called "catalog". CATALOG refers to the name you gave oscommerce, the top directory of oscommerce. Most people call thier installation "catalog" some call it "store" some call it "oscommerce". Its just the top directory of your store.
