Where are located in the search engine result pages is your index position and is the number you want as low as possible. PR is simply a ranking based on the number of links (or their page ranks) that link to your site - nothing else. It helps you get a better index position but not by much. Should you work on your PR? Yes. But if you are not getting listed by google then it is because of something else. Without seeing the page I can't offer a guess but I would guess it is just because the page is not relevant to the keyword for that page. tedbooks Posted February 10, 2005 Author Share Posted February 10, 2005 i understand that now. ok i have the #1 got the number#1 &2 index position in yahoo and #3 in msn but although i have 700 pages indexed by google not a good index position. i was just implementing every recommondation in here to get my google index high but no result then i checked the yahoo and msn and to my surprise indexed right up there. so i have made some changes afterward so i don't know should i be happy with that or just continue with my changes Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

But if I had a page in the number 1 position, I think I would leave it alone and start optimizing another page.
