Hi,

I uploaded a file and placed into the database and got the following message after the upload was done:

 

File uploaded.

Termporary filename: /tmp/phpeORANg

User filename: EP_Split1.txt

Size: 59956

 

But no products were placed in the store. What am I doing wrong here?

 

Is there another step that i'm not doing?

Try using the temp directory as outlined in the install notes. Upload your file to the temp directory and run it from there. I find that the file runs from the temp directory generally without any problems. Be sure to CHMOD the directory to 777.

 

If the file runs and doesn't insert anything check that you have model numbers in your file and that all the syntax is correct.

Is it creating a new directory along with a new temp file?

 

Also, I downloded an exp. of a complete database, should the syntax including header titles be the exactly the same?

Create the temp directory as outlined in the install notes

 

Put your easypopulate xls file in the directory and run it from there
