TCwho
Hey Everyone Been wondering this for awhile? I read people refering to snapshots, and cvs...etc Now at osC Site, there is only one version to download as far I could see which is osC 2.2 Milestone 2 ...what are snapshots? I have read people using Milestone 3.... where is that available? Is this a beta version before final release of Milestone 3? I have then read people referring to osC CVS. What is that about? If someone could just give a basic rundown of all this, It would help clear some questions up. avoisin
The current "released" version of osCommerce is 2.2MS2, which is the download link you found. Virtually everyone should download that, it is quite stable and what most people use as a starting point. A snapshot is the current latest code, updated daily, of the progress working towards 2.2MS3, which will be available at some point. There will be no beta release before 2.2MS3 is reached, to my knowledge. However, these aren't stable releases, they're definately at your own risk. CVS is a code management system, a versioning tool to keep track of changes. It is used on the progress of code. Hope this clears things up!
