Combining all product_info into categories page

Hi all

 

I ve got an issues were Im trying to combine all the info on the prodcut info page into the catalog page. Eg the user goes to the homepage and the pick a catergory from the left. In the vanilla site the next page shows all the products under the category. What Im trying to do is get all the info and attributes from the products info page into the 2nd page.

 

As this is a catering site the products dont have too much information and a price and a photo only. So Im trying to get all the attributes and price onto the category page and the customers can buy directly from this page.

 

1) Is this possible

2) How much would this effect the shopping cart process

3) Is there any reason why i shouldnt do this and can talk the cutomer out of it.
