pcpalct
Hi OSCommerce Community! Wanted to run a dilemma of mine past you folks and see if anyone has any suggestions. I have someone that customizes mousepads, t-shirts, mugs, etc. that sort of thing. He was interested in making an e-commerce site and OSCommerce popped in my mind first, but I'm at a loss of how to go about it. Been staring at the screen for hours trying to advise him. Any thoughts would be appreciated. The basic goal is to have his customers go to the site, customize their item, and then submit. Thanks in advance! Jack_mcs
If it is a fixed set of options (color, size, etc.) then you can use products attribtutes. But if it is not, which I suspect is the case, then I don't know of any contribtuion that will do this. The code will have to be created to allow the customer to input his options. This can be a form with all of the available options. You may need to add an upload link if images are going to be accepted. bobg7
Most everything could probably be done with Product Attributes, may need to add something so customers and add there text and upload images but that could be done by finding free java, php or cgi scripts and inserting them into proper page (products_info.php I think). It can be done I'm sure, may take a little trial and error though. Good luck. Bob G.
