Guest Posted February 5, 2005 Posted February 5, 2005 Hi guys, I've had this problem for a while but I've tried to fix it first before coming to you. Right...my problem. Basically, when I go to Admin it asks me for a password box yet when I put my password specified in the config files, it does not work. I've tried everything. I did a fresh install of osC on my local machine. This worked - and I could get into Admin - so I thought great, I'll copy across three folders - Admin, catalog/includes and the stylesheet. Now, this has messed up the local settings and I can no longer get into Admin without it requesting a password. I've tried all the passwords and usernames I know! My online osC password, my online database password and my local database password. But still, it won't work! So I try it all again -> Fresh install, copy over files, import database and Admin once again requires a password. Have you any idea what's going on here because I certainly haven't!?!? Hope you're able to sort this out for me guys! Many Thanks Rob

Guest Posted February 5, 2005 Posted February 5, 2005 No - what I basically did on my online store was to password protect the Admin section by going to my Host's CP and adding a password. Obviously, it has somehow carried it over...any idea how I can get around this? I've tried using the password I use with my host - but it doesn't work.
