rongray Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 Hi, I had a customer from Canada try and place an order and selected air mail for $4.5 and when he proceded to checkout it changed the amount to $38.. Does anyone have any insight on how to correct this?? My store is oscommerce 2.2 Ron
niknakgroup Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 Could be a whole heap of different things; do you have canadian dollars configured on your site? Do you have lots of product options/attributes which the customer may have added to inflate his price? Did you see the problem first hand, or was it reported to you by a customer - if you haven't seen it, are you able to duplicate the problem yourself to give a little insight into which stage the change happened, and anything which may have caused the change to occur. Once a shipping cost is displayed, it is highly unlikely that it would have changed itself as it should refer back to the same information every time. I haven't explained myself well, but I hope you can figure out a bit more from what I have put and then post back here what you find out - there are loads of us out here who can lend a hand, but we need a rough idea of what the problem is to be able to give good advice! Please note - if I have suggested a contrib above, it doesnt mean it will work! Most of the contribs are not ones I've used, but may be useful for your particular problem.... Have you tried a refined search? I placed an order and selected airmail letter post for $5.70. on the delivery information screen. Then entered the credit card information and when it went to confirmation screen, it was changed to: United States Postal Service (1 x 1.6lbs) (Global Express Guaranteed Document Service): $38.00 and added into the total... I accidently hit the Quote button so I hope it did not repost your email... Thank you for the reply.. Ron

If so, do you need to change it, or has it just saved you spending $38 to post something when the customer only paid $5.70??!
