I believe it can intergrate with systems like OScommerce to take away the manual intervention needed to generate sales etc. Regards Steve Regards Steve

Tremblehorne Posted February 4, 2005 Author Posted February 4, 2005 Sorry mucker I haven't got a clue. When it comes to coding I am at the bottom of the hill so to speak. Steve Regards Steve
hobbzilla Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 do you have the code for integrating with great plains available? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Mibble, I utilize a sql query to grab the pertinent information from osCommerce and run a cron script to create flat files on the webserver on a daily basis.. then I have an automated ftp script to retrieve those files. MSBS Great Plains offers a program, Integration Manager (IM), for license. I use IM to pull orders from the flat file into Great Plains. I'll be happy to e-mail you my sql & cron scripts if you'd like.

hobbzilla Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 Yeah, not sure about Sage accounting package... but it took me a few hours to setup the automated install for Great Plains. Now I just sit back and orders get populated into the accounting package 3 times a day and I never have to do manual entries into the accounting system.. So, I don't know what sounds more difficult.. automation with a higher front end work load and rarely having to touch it.. or manual entries everyday for the rest of your life! :P
