Kobold Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 Hi, I would like to hear what you think about the website an it's design. For those of you who don't understand german, let me just know what your first impression is. www.go-oliven?l.de Thank you for any opinion and any suggestion. with kind regards Kobold
insyspider Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 The link doesn't work for me. I get "unknown page".
burt Posted February 5, 2005 Posted February 5, 2005 It works OK in Firefox, but gets a DNS error (cannot find server) in Internet Explorer. Is the character --- ? --- allowed in a URL? I think it's RFC 2396, could be the problem... Anyway, your site is very pleasing to the eye. Looks good. Do something with the footer area, that bit does not look so nice.
elodea Posted February 5, 2005 Posted February 5, 2005 I couldn't connect to it via IE, but when I tried Firefox, I saw it's connnecting to http://www.go-olivenoel.de/. So, that way, I could use IE to browse your website. I agree with Gary that you need something for footer. It is a little boring right now. Maybe you can use the colors in the header, or put your logo in there. I like you choice of colors and the presentation overall. The icons are very nice as well. One thing I would suggest is to make the infobox headers clickable for shopping cart and review.
Kobold Posted February 11, 2005 Author Posted February 11, 2005 Hi, thank you for your replies. The fact that the URL won't work with the IE will lead us to promote a URL without umlauts. I will think about the "footer-thing". Perhaps I ll get a good idea. with kind regards Kobold
moonlitsun Posted February 11, 2005 Posted February 11, 2005 GREAT job! I am impressed by your header and the infobox layouts you created. Gives a nice, unique feel to the site. Also, good use of icons as they seem appropriate. You may want to either remove or lighten the shading of your main image within the body text of the index page. It kind of pulls away from your text information and might be too distracting. Perhaps you can break up your main body text so that the products appear higher up on the page. Customers always like to see products the moment they visit the first page of your site without scrolling down. BEAUTIFUL table work within product_info! :) Great job. Keep up the good work.
