Hi. I am having a serious problem getting OScommerce to work. I can get it to go through the web install just fine. I had to make a folder on the root of the drive called install and copy my sql file there in order for it to be seen by the install. I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not. Now when I get to the end of the install (after the "install successful" message), I click on one of the buttons (store or admin) and get a 404 error. The admin path in my browser looks like this:

http://www.mysite.net/loaded61a/install/:/...admin/index.php

I am running Windows Server 2003 with IIS 6, PHP 4.3.9 and Mysql 4.0.16. I have been able to set up other php scripts without problems. Can someone please help me???? :(

It seems your paths for the catalog and admin in your 2 configure.php files may be incorrect - make sure these are set to the correct paths and try again.

You seem to be using the loaded version, a good place to start would be their website and forum.

The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing.

Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems?

There are many very useful osC Contributions

Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here

BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??

Actually I have gotten this behavior with three different versions of OScommerce. Loaded, regular, and another produce called Ecommerceshoppingcart that is built on OScommerce. That leads me to believe that the problem lies in the basic configuration files of the base package. Oh, and I have tried both forums. Just trying to cover all my bases. Thanks, though.

Thanks Charles, I think you are right. The installer is not setting my paths correctly. I edited some of the settings in the configure.php files and now the page loads, just not the images. I will continue to play with the settings. Thanks for the suggestion. Your help is greatly appreciated.
