Tremblehorne Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 Hi, I must be a fool, I am in the Admin area. I run a business that carries no stock, so I don't wish to have stock levels or management. What do the Values in the Product listing equate to? I assumed : 0= disable 1= Enable don't know anytthing about the rest. However in the listing I have put the quanity at 0 but it still dislays it. Cheers for any help in advance Steve Regards Steve
♥Vger Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 If you are running a 'drop shipping' type of business where you carry no stock yourself but advertise it for sale, and then buy the stock in once the order has been placed - then you will still need to set stock levels for the goods to be advertised for sale. If your site sells digital downloads then they still have to be added as products. Finally, if your site doesn't 'sell' anything at all then osCommerce is not needed. Vger

In your admin go to configurtation-> stock-> check stock levels-> set to false configurtation-> stock-> subtract stock levels-. set to false Do that and you can complete ignore the stock numbers. The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??
♥Vger Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 Just goes to prove - you're never too old to learn. I spend so much time recoding osCommerce that sometimes the basic settings get by me. Vger
