marcanthony Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 I getting this ugly message en my store: Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /www/p/a/partydesigns.com/htdocs/catalog/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file. Can somebody help
wondernet Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 you need to change the file permissions on the file. if you uploaded file through FTP programme then just highlight the configure.php file, right-nouse click and choose properties. Then change file permissions to (i think) '644'.

♥Vger Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 You're not STILL trying to get past the installation phase are you Marc Anthony? How long has this been going on for now? The correct setting for includes/configure.php is either 400 or 444. If your site is hosted on a Windows server then the CHMOD command will not work (only for Unix/Linux servers) - and in this case you would have to change the permission either by your web hosting control panel File Manager or via Telnet or SSH access. If your server is Linux/Unix then FTP to your site, right click on the file, follow Operations --> FTP Commands - and then CHMOD (Unix). Be aware that even on a Linux/Unix server your web hosting company may still have restricted your right to use the CHMOD command to alter file permissions. This is especially true of very cheap web hosting companies. Vger
Guest Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 do you realise your site scrolls in 800x600. Rgds Dalai
