I have trawled the forum, have tried various remedies, but still cannot get rid of the pink warning on the home page after insatlling.

Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: .../catalog/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file.

Have tried various permission settings on the catalog/includes/configure.php file via WS_FTP Home.

Have also tried securing the includes folder via server control panel

Still can't get rid of the b*gger.

Any advice, greatly appreciated.

you need to chmod the files to 644 or even 444

Cracked it!

Had to use file manager in server control panel, rather than rely on WS_FTP to change user permissions.

444 did the trick.

Thanks
