I've now configured my store on localhost ...

... to the production server. I was thinking:

 

1. use phpmyadmin to set-up DB

 

2. copy all files in catalog to server (I'm going to remove catalog folder. I want shop to be in root)

 

3. change includes>configure.php to reflect server environment and removal of catalog folder.

 

4. that's it

 

 

or

 

1. should I copy the original catalog folder items (again without calalog folder itself)

 

2. go to admin and run install

 

3. once that's done copy all files in my catalog folder and overwrite those on the server?

 

 

Your thoughts appriciated.

I would go the first route - sounds like you know what you are doing, but if you get stuck you can always post back here ;)
