File to modify category and product layout?

I would like to modify the look of the category pages and the product pages but cannot seam to find where the files are located. Any help would be appreciated.

Well it really depends on exacltly what you want to change. Your product page is controlled by your product_info.php file

The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing.

Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems?

Checked that out befor and It only modifys the titles. I want to change the whole appearance of the page.

excelent, thank you. There are so many files called the same thing it is hard to figure out exactly what is going on sometimes.

As a general rule if you want to change How something looks or is setup you use the file in the root or catalog directory if you want to change what it says (the text itself) you go to the languages folder.

Thanks that will shorten my search in the future.

 

and categories.php in the /admin/ folder handles the display of the categories correct?

Any file in admin folder related to admin view not customer so i dont think u want to spend time to change the views for admins , as you would want functionality on your end... :)
