How to edit pages? Contributions?

Sorry for all the newbie-type questions today, but I've got another:

 

Is the only way to edit a page, such as meta tags, corporate logo, link names, etc.... by using contributions?

 

I've become pretty good at HTML (mainly using Front Page), but I'm completely new to .php and OSCommerce.

 

I've just started my new site and have no idea how to edit links (right now my categories are like this: my-site-name.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=21 , and I'd like them be somethink like this: my-site-name.com/catalog/item-topic-1...)

 

and my products are like this: /catalog/product_info.php?products_id=28, and i'd like to get the name of it into the URL.

 

I also have no idea how to change the main image, which right now is this: /catalog/images/oscommerce.gif (other than taking my logo and saving it as oscommerce.gif, but then the size won't match).

 

And the title on all my pages is OsCommerce. and there are no keywords or description.

 

Is there a good place for me to get started learning how to do all this?

Being new myself, it took me quite a while to find the answers to these same questions. Hopefully, these answers will save you & other Newbies some time.

A. Yes.

Regarding changing the logo, you must resize the new image first before uploading it to the site.
