josh1r Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 I am very new to databases and OS Commerce. I seem to have done a good job installing everything, and am now starting to add items. I've been doing it through the admin feature by creating new categories and products. My question is: is there a way to 'open the database', sort of like Excel or Access, and manually enter information? That way I could just enter information row after row and save/upload the whole thing, rather than via the web admin tool where I have to click 'new product', fill in all the field, hit preview, hit insert, and then start all over again for each item. If I have hundreds of items that's going to take quite a while... Thanks!
♥Vger Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 Sounds like you need a Contribution (link at top of this page) called Easy Populate. This allows you to upload data in a spreadsheet or database held locally into your osCommerce database. Vger
