thelight Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 Hello there. I am looking through the database diagram that came with osCommerceMS2. Why are the databases structured the way they are? Especially relationships between the products table and the categories? Why not just products to categories directly?

You can setup new cats and move products around, copy them to different cats, have products in multiple cats etc. The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??

Are the queries hardcoded into PHP? How are the queries structured? A sample will be very much helpful, the one about products and categories. Thanks in advance.
