Bighawk Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 I have installed Ver 2.2-MS2 with the sample files. During this web-based installation the wizard asked for the information as defined in the osC KB "Web based Configuration Proceedure". It did not ask me for an Admin UN or PW. When I attempt to access admin the popup asks for a UN and PW. Setup did not ask for one during the installation. I have not found how to establish the initial Admin UN and PW. I have searched several pages in previous posts. So far I have not found the post with the answer to my specific problem. Perhaps someone can point me in the right direction... Please advise how I am to access Admin for the first time or setup the initial Admin UN and PW? Thank you
Guest Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 it doesn't do this by default. One of 2 things has likely happened: 1) your webhoster reserves the "admin" directory for their control panel, and you're being redirected there. -- rename "admin" to "admin2" and see if you can get in -- be sure to adjust the appropriate lines in catalog/admin/includes/configure.php so that they refer to your newly renamed admin2 directory 2) someone has password protected the admin directory without your knowledge. Call your webhoster and ask them why this has happened without your permission. -jared
