resizing webiste

i am building a site with both a left and a right colum. these were originally set at 125 (the default). in order to prevent word wrapping in the product catagory i resized the columns to 150. i used a contribution which optimizes the site for 800x600 resolution and centers the screen. however, the site no longer fits horizontally on the screen. the columns are now 150, but it seems like the middle portion of the page needs to be resized in order for it to fit. any sugestions?

alright well, i figured it out. i guess thats what hours to figuring out where code is and what it does willl do!
