ozEworks Posted January 24, 2005 Share Posted January 24, 2005 I want to copy my whole shop (code and database) to another site on another server so I can modify it there for a friend. Trouble is I haven't a clue how to do this. I do most things the hard way and I am a ftp virgin. Have no idea what details I need from her either to know where to put it/get access. ♥Vger Posted January 24, 2005 Share Posted January 24, 2005 You need the ftp host address, user id and password. Then you need to connect to the site via ftp, download all of the website files, then search for the sql or mysql folder and download the database for the site. You then upload all of the files to the new domain, upload the sql file to the sql/mysql folder, and then edit the configure.php files to reflect the new domain, new mysql user name and password etc. Vger Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
