OScommerce could be a cash machine

I want to organize my shop and this web site with OSCOMMERCE. For my web site OSCOMMERCE is perfect but to use OSCOMMERCE as a cash machine, it's seem to be more difficult.

 

Is anybody have use oscommerce as a cash machine ?

Does existe a module to arrange OScommerce as a cash machine ?

I projet is to manage all my shop with OScommerce - all my stock have to be in oscommerce but (i don't hnow what is un ATM) i need a module to make a cash machine (for the customer, my sailor need to generate bill, and printing the bill quickly)

what i want to mean with cash machine is in fact a cash register.

If you want to use Oscommerce in this way, you need to set it up as a POS terminal (point of sale). I believe there is a contribution that you can look for.

 

To run it like this, you either need to be running your own in house server, or have a very very reliable internet connection. If the connection goes down, then no one in the physical shop will be able to use it. By bringing the server in house you will have more controll over it, however its not a cheap option.
