richtestani Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 (edited) Hello - I have installed the USPS package into OSC, and have signed up and recieved a ID & Password which I have setup in the mod. The server is setup for the test server, however when I checkout I recieve an error 'An error occured with the USPS shipping calculations'. Is this normal to recieve since I am using the test server, or is my setup incomplete? I am new to dealing with shipping API's and XML so I am not sure what I am doing. Thanks Edited January 24, 2005 by richtestani Quote Rich
OceanRanch Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 (edited) Two things to check. 1. Make sure your shipping zip code is set up under the oscommerce admin->configuration->shipping 2. I believe you have actually have to call the 800 phone number at USPS to have them enable the site. (I could be wrong here though). Check a few threads for the 800 numbers. HTH Tom <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have setup the module for a test server which is what I am allowed to use it on according the USPS email. Do I have to call for my server to access that server as well? Thanks for the input Quote Rich
OceanRanch Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 Give 800-344-7779 a call and they will switch you to the proper server. HTH Tom Quote

HTH Tom <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Tom, Thanks for the help - that worked. I guess the module isnt working with the test server for whatever reason. Thanks again Quote Rich
