♥Vger
SSL has nothing to do with editing pages in osCommerce There are two types of SSL - shared (provided by your hosting company) or full - bought by yourself, and installed by yourself or your hosting company. If you rhosting company provides a shared ssl certificate, thenyou need to find out what the path is for you to be able to use it on your domain - ask your hosting company this If you want to install a full ssl certificate you will need your site to have a dedicated ip address (provided by your hosting company), and you need to find out if you can install it yourself from your web hosting control panel, or if your hosting company only allows the installation of ssl certs which they buy in (this is usually expensive). If you can install one yourself then you need to choose one to buy, then get your site its dedicated ip address, then generate a CSR (Certificate Signing Request) in your hosting control panel, and take this text to where you're going to buy your SSL cert (it will be needed there). Once you've purchased and received your ssl cert. then you need to import it into your hosting control panel. Then you need to get your hosting company to reboot the httpd files for the server you are on. Finally you need to enable ssl in both of your oscommerce configure.php files and enter https://www.yourdomain.com for the https addresses, and www.yourdomain.com for the https cookie domain. madcigars.com
OK, but how do you configure it in OsCommerce so that you do not get a warning message that says the certificate and the domain do not match on a shard SSL host. What fields in the installation page do you change.
