neverfight Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 Since I changed servers, none of my emails from the site get sent. The emails I send from my personal email client (Netscape) work fine. I ran Harald's email_test.php and the only one I received was the native php email. What I want to know is what do I need to change to get the email to work? Also, the header information in the only email I received was wrong. It ignored what I typed and replaced these fields: Return-path: <[email protected]> From: [email protected] I saw another post about changing an .ini file but I don't have access. I can not check the error logs yet because they defaulted to off. I have now turned them on, but it will be evidently be tomorrow before I can view them. Server info: FreeBSD 4.10-SATA-RELEASE perl, v5.8.3 PHP 4.3.10 /usr/sbin/sendmail Admin settings: E-Mail Transport Method sendmail E-Mail Linefeeds CRLF Use MIME HTML When Sending Emails false Verify E-Mail Addresses Through DNS false Send E-Mails true Everything was working fine before the change. I have also tried SMTP, which was my original setup. I have also tried the -f with my host name. No luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated since my email has been down for days. :'( Laurie
redink Posted March 9, 2005 Posted March 9, 2005 How'd you fix it? Nevermind. I fixed it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
neverfight Posted March 10, 2005 Author Posted March 10, 2005 How'd you fix it? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, between the lack of response here and the lack of a response to my actual issue from my web host, I switched hosts. Everything is functioning the way it should without having to change any sort of code. I'm also paying slightly less, so overall I'm a happy camper. :D
