if you have your own server, it should be in windows or etc/ something like that.

If you are hosted then you do not have access to it, only your host does.

The php.ini is in the C:\PHP\Data directory if its a local install. You can edit the file

in FrontPage or some other editor. You can also edit at the DOS prompt by typing

edit php.ini once your in the right directory. Use the cd command and once you in the directory you can type "dir" to confirm the file is in that directory;
