Editing Pages

evermore

Recommended Posts

I must be missing this somewhere, but every time I try to edit a page, I get an error message. The message says, and I quote"

"Error: I can not write to this file. Please set the right user permissions ..." and then it gives me what I thought was the path to do so.

I am new to this so I have no clue what I am supposed to do. I need help, please.

Where would I look to do this?

If your using windows, right click and view folder properties and if ticked read only then untick the selected file to make them wrightable or have a look at this link on how to install

Color me stupid, but I downloaded the program straight to my server, not my PC so when I right click and choose Properties, I don't see anything about read only. Is there some place else I need to look or do I need to erase what I have and download the program to my PC first? I am very new at this as you can probally tell.
