Book Store with Anthologies = HELP!

Has anyone ever found a solution for this problem? We all know that you can't place a product under more then one Manufacturer (in my store this is the Author's Last Name), so how is anyone posting Anthologies to their sites? I know from previous experience that there are alot of people buying anthologies and they want to buy the one that has THEIR favorite author but for the same money get a taste of some other author's works. So it may not seem important, but it is. I tried to make one of my Categories (we have the books under categories by theme of storyline) Anthologies and then under that I had sub-categories, one for each letter of the alphabet. The problem here is that unless you allow for a ton of characters in your authors name field, you won't be able to see what authors are actually in the book from the list of books unless you go one by one and click on them to see the list of authors in the book....and this is just putting the last names only of the authors in the author field.

Here is an example incase anyone has any suggestions or ideas :

 

The books is titled : The Grand Hotel

 

There are 5 authors in it :

Anne Barbour, Elisabeth Fairchild, Carla Kelly, Allison Lane, Barbara Metzger

 

Each of the 5 stories have their own title, but unless it helps figure this all out, its not needed to have them shown except in the description and maybe not even there as long as the book title is noted.

 

Ok, when I posted this book under the Main category of Anthologies and then under the subcategories of B, F, K, L, & M, it worked fine, BUT.... when a customer goes into the letter M for example, we can't change the order of the author's names and in this case, even tho it was only their last names, didn't fit the last names, so you end up with something like this :

 

Barbour, Fairchild, Kelly, Lan

 

How would a person know that Metzger was even in this book even tho its under the M's, but without going into each and every book to read what's in the description you wouldn't know.

 

Otherwise, it would work fine and when I made a purchase, it pulled all of the books from the 5 subcategories and the 1 that I had placed in the acutal theme Main category (Historical).
