How to rename Admin Folder???

I have my site all setup but at the end I wanted to rename my admin folder so I did. Then I just thought I could run the install again to rebuild the config files but it wont write the admin config file since the folder is gone.....

 

Any idea how to fix the admin links????...i made my admin folder caller "control"

Thanks for telling everyone your new admin folder name! I suggest you rename it something else again. I get lots of people trying to find my store's admin folder - for what purpose, I don't want to know, but I assume it is not something I would agree with.

 

All you have to do is edit the admin includes/configure.php to specify the new path. While you're at it, change the HTTP_SERVER define in there to be your https URL base, so all your admin accesses will be by https (except for the home page, which you can solve by always using the secure URL to get to it. Next, password protect your admin. Last, delete admin/file_manager.php, as it poses a file corruption and security risk.
