Guest Posted January 22, 2005 Posted January 22, 2005 This seems to be a common error that I see people having but I am still not clear on what the fix is. If anyone has a clear fix please tell me. Much of what I have seen has been very inconcise and unclear so please be clear if you have the answer and detal the fix. The error is as follows. Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /home/gabmob2/public_html/gabmobilestore/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file.

Guest Posted January 22, 2005 Posted January 22, 2005 Thanks I will try this and i hope this works. I have seen other replies that seem to say that changing the permissions do not work. I will et you know the outcome.
totenmaske Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 Hmmm...I have three OSCommerce based stores up and running but this fourth that I am setting up for a friend is giving me fits. I'm got this same problem and I've tried CHMODing to 444 to no avail.
OceanRanch Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 Some hosts will not allow you to chmod to read only..... If this is your case then maybe the following contribution will help out. http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,2137 Tom
