Hi,

I am in the process of adding product to my site vivgo.com but thought i should see if anyone has any opinions before I get too far and need to change things. I suspect some may not like the flash header which could probably be easily redone in html. What do you think? Also I would like opinions on how to add tags or more info to the site so that it will be more accessible to search engines.... Your thoughts?

One more thing; Are the pics to large or is this site slow in generall?

Thank you so much for helping me out, all feedback is much appreciated!

Once again the site is vivgo.com

The main pic is too large. The site got downloaded in about 15 seconds. I have a dial up connection. In general your site looks great. Best of luck.

Why dont you some products in the central area of your site?

I like your layout. It is concise, straight and clean. Gets the point across without several scrolls down. :)

The main image is great, but I would optimize it. You could prob get it down from 48K to about 29K without degrading it too much.

I would put an about us page on the site, under "info". That, coupled with some helpful infor files on ordering and creation process. Chances are most customers will never need them, but thos that will is enough to warrant their existence.

You product images on description pages are a bit large. And the thumbnails are a bit off whack. Try a thumbnail contribution and reduce the other images. They will click on "Larger Image" if they need detail.

I am on an exceedingly fast connection and the site does not load slowly, it responds slowly. It is most likely your host and it will only get worse the more customers your bring in.

Hope this helps and best of luck!

I have optimized all my images and removed the flash header which reduced the load time considerably. I also moved the store to a new web server which also seems to be faster. Dose any one see any other problems with the store performance or layout? Thanks

I think your font is way to large on your header navigation. Other than that I think it looks good for a specialized store of that type. Nothing fancy or difficult to navigate too.

I would capitalise on your statement on the front thats say "used in the most premier restaurants.." by having a link to a page which gives names of those facilities.

Good way to promote your business

Your site looks clear and clean. I noticed that you didn't optimise your pop-up window for firefox: it cuts off the bottom of your picture including the text. You have to add this line in popup_image.php around line 30:

if (navigator.vendor == 'Firefox') i=0;

This way the window shows the whole image.

Very nice. I love it. Something I think might make it look slightly better would be if you took out the info box and moved the links down to your footer, right above the copyright notice. It make your side the same length as your pictures, at least on the index page, and there's nothing wrong with moving the small print down to the bottom. I think I'd also change the colors of the "Call us toll-free" to black. It would match better with the rest of the header, and there isn't really enough yellow on the page to make the "call us" look integrated.

But if that's all I'm complaining about, then it's an excellent site.
